Monoclonal antibodies directed against rat CD45
Hybridoma Clone Antibody Isotype Cat. No.
ANK74 Mouse IgG1 ARA05
ANK12 Mouse IgG1 ARA12
Generation The ANK74 and ANK12 monoclonal antibodies were generated by immunizing
mice with IL2-activated cultured NK cells of Wag rats.
Reactivity
These are rat strain-independent antibodies to CD45.
ANK74
This monoclonal antibody recognizes a common epitope of rat CD45, present on all rat
leucocytes.
ANK12
This monoclonal antibody is directed against an isoform of rat CD45.
Technical information
ANK74 and ANK12 bind to rat CD45. This antigen of approximately 200 kD is expressed on the
cell surface of leucocytes. ANK74 and ANK12 can be used for the detection of leucocytes
by immunohistochemistry in freshly frozen tissues or by flow cytometry. Both antibodies are
able to modulate lysis of target cells by NK cells (Giezeman-Smits et al., 1999).
