A mouse was immunized with desmin isolated from human leiomyoma. Antibody producing cells
were isolated, after fusing the spleen cells of this mouse with myeloma cells, capable of
staining muscle cells in thin sections.
Specification
The antibody does stain muscle cells in human tissue. On immunoblots only the 52 kDa
desmin band is stained (ref. 1).
