Anti-human cytokeratin no.18. (clone M9)
"Binding of M9 monoclonal antibodies to human cytokeratin no. 18"
Hybridoma Clone Antibody Isotype Cat. No.
M9 Mouse IgG1 ARA25
Source A mouse was immunized with cytokeratin isolated from a human breast carcinoma cell line (MCF-7).
Antibody producing cells were isolated - after fusing the spleen cells of this mouse with murine
myeloma cells - by selecting the cells that produced antibodies capable of staining human simple
epithelia in thin sections.
Specification:
The antibody does stain especially simple epithelia. Only frozen sections can be used in
immunoperoxidase and immunofluorescence tests. In immunoblotting experiments the antibody
was shown to recognize only keratin no.18 (45 kDa).
